Shooting with Chip

Chip Willis is without a doubt one of THE most talented photographers in the Mid West. He has his trademark style, the thing I keep talking about, this "something" that is unmistakenly his. His own unique style that characterizes every single image he creates - I can pick a Chip shot out of a hundred shots - I would bet money on that. To me, for a photographer to have such a trademark style, it's a sign of greatness.

I had the opportunity to work with Chip last June. I allowed for him to shoot me in a way I hadn't been shot before. He had this idea of doing something POV (Point of View), but do it in an artistic way - raw and edgy, but not pornographic. I think he completely succeeded in what he set out to do. I love the results he came up with, even though these images are vastly different from the rest of my work. Looking at this image, I still can't believe it's me in that shot. I love how he lit it, and the angle he shot it at. It makes me look strong and muscular, yet at the same time very vulnerable because of the situation I'm in.
